The Photonics Patents™ blog is the personal blog of Bruce S. Itchkawitz, Ph.D., a patent attorney at Knobbe, Martens, Olson & Bear, LLP (Knobbe Martens) in their Orange County office.

Bruce conducts a client counseling practice (e.g., strategic patent procurement and prosecution, general counseling on infringement and licensing issues, and IP due diligence studies) and specializes in various complex technologies, including optics and photonics.

Bruce has a Ph.D. in Physics from Univ. of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Engineering Physics from Lehigh University.  Prior to joining Knobbe Martens, Bruce was a research physicist, primarily working in the area of experimental solid-state physics, studying surface physics.
